First, one from Zach, one day when he was particularly mad at Drew because Drew was calling Mack (as in a Mack truck) a flatbed truck, and Zach couldn't get Drew to stop:
-"Even 2 year-olds are so annoying! And one year-olds, too. That's why I don't like babies!"
Then about 10 minutes later, when Zach just could not let it go:
-"He's rottering my brain!"
Next, one from my now 4 year-old nephew Cameron, one gorgeous day in Colorado when Zach and Cam were playing outside:
-"My dad is at work, and your dad is probably golfing."
The funny thing was that about 10 minutes later I got a text from Mike stating that he was just at the driving range for the first time this season.
Finally, one from Drew tonight, while we were playing Hungry, Hungry Hippos as a family. Mike did something that Drew didn't like, and Drew told Mike no and then hit him somewhat tentatively. Drew did apologize and give Mike a hug, and then:
-Me: "Drew, if you hit Dad again, you're going to have a time-out."
-Drew: "No thank you."
Well, at least he used his manners, right?
