Speaking of marriage, last night after dinner, Zach went and just laid on the couch, which is pretty unusual for him and probably any other 4 year-old. I asked him if he was ok, and he said, "Yeah, just kinda sad," in a really sad voice. I asked him what he was sad about, and he said, with tears in his eyes, "Mom, I just really want you to marry me!" Melt my heart. I tried to tell him how moms can't marry their sons, and that he'd probably want to marry someone else when he's old enough to get married anyway, because I'd be an old lady then. He was surprised by that idea. He wasn't buying any of it, though, and said again how he just really wants to marry me, and this whole time he was on the brink of tears. I finally just said, "Ok, we'll talk about it when you're older." He took that as an agreement, and said, "Really? But what about Dad?" So funny.

Today marks my parents' 43rd wedding anniversary. Wow- 43 years. That sure makes the 8 years Mike and I have been married sound like small peanuts! Unfortunately I don't have a picture to scan and put on the blog. Mom and Dad, if you can scan one and email it to me, I'd love to post it here. Anyway, congratulations on 43 years together as husband and wife. Thanks for the great example you've set for all of your daughters and our husbands (except when you were flipping Dad off in the back of the car this weekend, Mom- that wasn't very nice). Here's to another 20+ years! Love you guys! : )
